A water wall adjacent to the main entrance of an apartment block provides an interesting focal point that people can enjoy while on their way into the building.
The water wall is manufactured from gold coloured stainless steel with grates over the sump area. LED lighting is built into the grates to throw light up the wall in the evening time.
A monolithic stone water table, 9.9m long x 1.0m wide x 0.5 m high, located in the Western Courtyard Garden part of the Aldgate Place development.
Water is delivered to the top of the table through a drilled manifold located below granite cladding.
Water flows over the front face of the granite into a lower trough with a water width and depth of 0.5m x 60mm respectively.
From the trough the water flows through two letter box weirs and pipes to a water holding tank located in the basement plantroom. A water return straining system is incorporated in the holding tank.
Two millstone-type structures situated within the grounds of Abell & Cleland House, a private residential development in the heart of Westminster. These small water features provide additional interest and animation throughout the day to the landscaped gardens.
Each feature has a low level central jet feeding water over the granite. Jet height is around 500mm high, the feature pump has a control valve to achieve the desired height.
The courtyard garden has two separate features.
A moat surrounds the courtyard, with bridges to cross at various points and four circular pools, constructed of corten steel.
A plant room is located in the building basement where the water treatment equipment and controls are located.
There are two water features in the area, one is a plaza feature and the other a pond with a fountain.
The plaza feature consists of 10 nozzles in two lines of 5 with maximum jet height of 1m.
The nozzle gives a 14mm diameter jet which can be varied in height by way of ten individual DMX controlled submersible pumps. As each jet is individually controllable this enables the feature to have a wide variety of sequenced displays.
Each display jet is installed with a circular shaped LED colour change light unit around the jet to provide an added visual impact. Each light will be fitted with three each of red, green, blue and white LED’s.
The pond fountain is capable of 4m height and is illuminated with three white light LED’s.
As part of the Lots Road development there are two reflective water tables.
The table top features consist of two raised granite clad structure, each 4m long x 1m wide x 0.7m high with peripheral white LED lighting.
The tables have water delivered to the top and introduced through gaps incorporated in the granite finishes. The water flow covers the granite in a film of water approximately 6mm thick, enhancing the surface and providing a strong aural effect as the water flows down the table walls and into the collection channels below. The action of the water flowing over the top edges appears to pull the surface of the water tight therefore increasing the reflective qualities on the surface of the table.
This terrace water feature consists of three water blades that provide a continuous flow of water which discharges into a pool. Seating is built into the front of the water feature structure to allow casino members to take a rest and socialise on the first floor area.
Each water blade has an LED white light built into it and the pool also has LED white lighting which is aimed up toward the blades to illuminate the rear wall and water flowing from each blade.
The water feature is constructed as two separate features, left and right hand of the walkway, leading into the main entrance of the building.
Each of the rectangular base pools incorporates a series of 5 vertical fountain jets.
Each jet has a ‘donut’ style white led light
A plant room is located in the building basement where the water treatment equipment and controls are located.
The visual display surrounding the fountain is in a landscaped area which will offer a pleasant space where residents and visitors can stroll through and enjoy the cooling environment of a decorative water feature along their way.
The plaza feature consists of 12 jets in three rows of 4, each jet can be varied in height .
A circular shaped white LED light unit around the jet provides an added visual impact.
A control system is also installed to enable the water jets and light sequencing to be programmed.
The water feature is constructed in a landscaped area which offers a pleasant space where residents and visitors can stroll through, or sit and relax while enjoying the cooling environment of a decorative water feature.
The bubbler feature is built into a bench structure and consists of 3 bubbler jets which have a return for the water to fall into.
Each bubbler jet has a white light LED at the side of it to illuminate the display.
The bubbler on and off times are controlled via timers in the control panel which is located in a plant room.
