The Postmark Project, which redeveloped the former Royal Mail sorting office site at Mount Pleasant in London, includes a plaza water feature composed of 12 jets formed in a circular shape.
The visual appeal from the movement of the water jets and auditory stimulation from the sound of splashing water enhances urban liveability by creating a gathering place and fostering a sense of well-being and tranquillity.
Interconnected water storage pods, individual DMX-controlled pump units for each jet with Red/Green/Blue/White LED illumination, distribution pipes and nozzles, feature lighting, a water holding tank, cross-site pipework, water return floor grates suitable for pedestrian loading are located beneath the paving. The water treatment plant together with the necessary control and monitoring systems are located in a basement plant room.
